What happened with $EMBER is a crazy reality check for DeFi mechanics. team had a good setup w/ buybacks and rewards on their main $MET pool, but permissionless pools hit them hard. once random $USDC & $SOL pools popped up on meteora, jupiter did what it always does - routed everything through the cheapest path. end result? random LPs made $60k+ in fees while the actual protocol vault got literal $0. dropping fees to get routing priority back is a painful pivot, but tbf the dev being this transparent about it is rare. harsh lesson in how aggregators actually work, really hope they figure it out. fingers crossed for the team.
