Privacy Policy

CryptoCop ("we", "us", "the Service") operates cryptocop.pro, a crypto market scanner and educational technical-analysis platform. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We keep data collection deliberately minimal — we never take custody of funds and never ask for exchange API keys, private keys, or seed phrases.

1. What we collect

• Email address — when you create a free member account, subscribe to the newsletter, or enable "Alert Me" on a setup. Used to send the alerts/updates you asked for.
• Account data — a password (stored only as a salted hash, never in plain text) and basic profile/preference settings you choose.
• Usage & device data — pages viewed, approximate referrer/traffic source, and standard technical logs (IP, browser type) for security, abuse-prevention, and analytics.
• Local storage — small values in your browser (e.g. session token, watchlist, "unlocked" flag, vote state) so the site remembers your preferences. These stay on your device.

We do not collect financial-account credentials, trading balances, wallet keys, or payment card numbers. Crypto payments (if you upgrade) are processed by a third-party processor — we receive only a confirmation, never your card or wallet details.

2. How we use it

• To deliver the alerts, newsletters, and account features you request.
• To operate, secure, and improve the Service (analytics, debugging, abuse prevention).
• To understand which content converts, so we can make better free content.

We do not sell your personal data.

3. Third-party services

We rely on a small set of processors to run the Service. Your data may be handled by:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and edge functions (stores your account + email).
• Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, and security/rate-limiting.
• Email delivery (Resend / EmailJS) — to send verification, alert, and newsletter emails.
• Analytics — privacy-conscious usage analytics to measure traffic (no selling of data).
• Exchange & market-data APIs (e.g. Bitget, CoinGecko) — for price/market data only; these do not receive your personal data.
• Payment processor — only if you choose to pay; handles the transaction, returns a confirmation to us.

4. Cookies & local storage

We use essential local storage for login/session and preferences, and lightweight analytics. You can clear these anytime via your browser settings (or the reset page). Disabling storage may break login and saved preferences.

5. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data — including unsubscribing from all emails — by contacting us (below). We honour unsubscribe links in every email. If you delete your account, we remove your profile and subscriptions.

6. Data retention & security

We keep account and subscription data only as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, then delete or anonymise it. Passwords are stored hashed; subscriber emails are not publicly readable. No online service is 100% secure, but we apply reasonable safeguards.

7. Children

The Service is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

9. Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised policy.
